My accountability is to you and your family’s financial well-being. In what ways do you stand out?

As a female financial advisor, I have unique strengths and qualities that help me stand out. Women are often recognized for strong listening skills and our ability to empathize. I have a niche market working with international clients and sports professionals. I use a relationship-oriented approach and strive to build inclusive client experiences that resonate with those seeking respectful service.

How does authenticity impact your work?

For a financial advisor, authenticity is crucial to building trust, credibility and long-term relationships. I have to guide people on critical decisions regarding their money, which can be emotional and impactful. It leads to stronger relationships that are built on mutual respect and integrity.

What are the latest trends in your industry?

Billions of dollars of investment capital flow through the sports landscape, driving expansion and acquisition. We see trends like:

  • Record team franchise valuations for both major and emerging leagues.
  • The fractionalization of media rights with streaming contributing to record sales.
  • Explosive growth in women’s sports.
  • Major sports agencies well capitalized by private equity firms seeking to acquire small and mid-sized competitors.
  • Athletes generating more revenue from business outside the game than playing contracts, and this starting at much younger ages.
  • Ownership groups investing in mixed-use real estate and ancillary businesses to create entertainment centers in and around team facilities.

In my position, I keep a lens on all areas of the sports ecosystem to ensure I can make informed and actionable recommendations. Through my years of experience, I am able to leverage my network and make meaningful introductions that take into account not only matching businesses but also personalities for the best possible strategic outcome.

How important is the community to your work?

It not only shapes my growth, but it provides a foundation for my success. It goes back to building trust and reputation. Being a visible member of my community builds stronger relationships. It allows me to meet my neighbors and build more meaningful connections. Supporting the communities I live in is important to me, as we all rise together and have shared experiences and resources. We can learn a lot from our communities and get great feedback and create a greater impact. We can inspire trust through authentic connections.

Whom do you credit for your success?

It started at home with my mom and dad. They are forever mentors and cheerleaders for me. I get the best personal and life/work advice from them, as it’s from the heart and unapologetic. I have had clients who have become mentors, sports coaches, managers, employees and professional business coaches. Every stage of my career has been so different, and every time I have been comfortable, I’ve known that it was time to get uncomfortable again because it was time to grow. That is the only way to evolve and get ahead. Taking risks is necessary but worth it, and having those role models and mentors helps you push further and dig deeper.
