N2 Aesthetics specializes in skin care, injectables such as Botox and fillers, and regenerative treatments such as microneedling and platelet-rich fibrin. Founder Nicola Lowrey spent years working in emergency medicine after graduating from the Keck School of Medicine of USC. In 2004 she became a certified cosmetic injector and split her time working in both specialties before retiring from the emergency room to start N2 Aesthetics in 2022. 

The medical spa, located in the Manhattan Village shopping center, offers a holistic approach to beauty, health and self-care. Its providers specialize in anti-aging and skin care, with treatment options including Sofwave for lifting and tightening, intense pulsed light/broadband light therapy, lasers for pigmentation, Sciton’s MOXI laser for skin resurfacing, chemical peels, microinfusions, custom medical-grade facials, DiamondGlow facials, teen acne programs, skin care products and nutritional supplement guidance for general health or weight loss.

Tell us something unique about founder Nicola Lowrey.

Nicola is one of the most sought-after educators and speakers for this industry across the globe. With multiple research projects and peer-reviewed publications, she is literally changing the medspa industry. Her dedication to anatomy, safety and the utilization of facial ultrasound makes N2 Aesthetics not only a luxurious place to be a patient but one of the most up-to-date and safest options for discerning individuals.

Tell us about your team.

• Nicola has lived in Hermosa Beach for the last 24 years. She loves to run, whether it’s on the chips or The Strand. You can often see her and her dog hitting the pavement either before or after work. Her two boys attended American Martyrs and loved their years as Junior Lifeguards.
• Katie lives in El Segundo and loves to play tennis and attend NFL football games. She has three younger kids who keep her quite busy.
• Diana loves living in Palos Verdes with her daughter. They enjoy horseback riding and spending time at the beach.
• Monyque and her family are new to the South Bay. She is loving this community. She enjoys taking local Pilates classes and all the great activities that this area provides for her young son who just started kindergarten.
• Heather grew up locally and lived in Manhattan Beach for several years before relocating to Malibu with her husband and three kids. She is new to the N2 Aesthetics team, but not new to the family—Heather is Nicola’s younger sister! We are so excited to have her join us.

In what ways do you support other women in business?

Supporting local small businesses, especially other women-owned businesses, is something that we feel very passionately about. We often donate and collaborate with other like-minded businesses to help ensure both success and community connection.
