Whether it’s watching the sunrise during an early-morning workout on The Strand or cuddling before bedtime with his wife, Taya, and their young sons, Giovanni and Luca, Vincent DiCarlo knows how to enjoy life. He works hard, and he plays hard. And it’s that disciplined approach to life that helps him remain at the top of his game for clients.
As a private wealth financial advisor with the Germain DiCarlo Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, Vinnie and his team help manage investments and provide financial advice for ultrahigh net worth families. He has worked in the industry for more than 15 years and has an extensive background in multiple financial disciplines—especially tax and planning.
A born problem-solver, Vinnie enjoys getting to know clients—their goals, their assets, their family dynamics—and then helping them put together all the puzzle pieces. “I’m always striving to improve myself and my skill sets so I can better serve my clients and my community,” he says. “I aim to be considered their most trusted advisor. I want them to call me even when they have a nonfinancial issue or just to check in.”
For the past 15 years, Vinnie has practiced Gracie Jiu-Jitsu as part of his self-improvement lifestyle. On the journey to earning his black belt, he quickly learned not to judge or underestimate others. “I’ve been beaten by people smaller than me, less experienced than me and less athletic than me,” he shares.
Vinnie strives to constantly evolve and find new ways to learn both personally and professionally. While practicing as a certified public accountant at a South Bay firm, he took night classes at USC to earn his master’s degree in business taxation. He joined Wells Fargo Bank N.A. in 2014 and completed his CTFA, CFP, ChFC, Series 7, 66 and life insurance licenses. He transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2017 and was recognized by Forbes in 2020 as Best-in-State Wealth Advisor*.
His business continues to grow—in large part thanks to referrals from clients, attorneys and CPAs. “Beyond enjoying the work we do, I enjoy the families we work with, and I have them to thank for my continued success,” he says. “I am always humbled when my clients put their trust in me and introduce me to their friends and family.”
Even the pandemic couldn’t hold Vinnie and his team back. They aim to grow their business through the skillful manner in which they help manage portfolios to weather downturns and shifts in the financial markets. “Being there for our clients through the pandemic reinforced our relationships with them and made us all feel much closer—like friends or family,” he says.
Now, as he shifts to working more frequently from the firm’s Manhattan Beach office, he spends less time commuting and more time engaging with clients, enjoying his family and being more involved in the local community. As Vinnie lives his life always striving to raise the bar, he aims to be an inspiration to others to keep developing themselves and support growth in those around them.
And there’s no end in sight to his tenacity. When asked where he sees himself 10 years down the road, Vinnie exclaims, “Doing exactly what I am doing now!”
