Cartwheelin’ Cuties® by South Bay Sprouts LLC is all about positive movement experiences for kids of all ages and abilities. From in-studio classes to on-site instruction at preschools, in-home sessions, and parks and recreation programs, owner Paige Negrete and her coaches take gymnastics wherever kids learn and play. The mission of Cartwheelin’ Cuties® is to inspire confidence and a love for active play in every child.

Paige trained as a gymnast from age 3 to 15 in both recreational and competitive programs. After completing high school, she transitioned to the coaching side of the sport and is also a lecturer with USA Gymnastics for gym owners and gymnastics coaches throughout the United States and Canada. 

What need does your business address for kids and their families?

We make gymnastics accessible anywhere—in the comfort of your home, at school or even at your local park! Our mobile program brings fun, confidence-building instruction directly to families—ensuring that kids of all ages and abilities can enjoy the benefits of movement. We create a playful, energetic environment that helps children develop coordination, social skills and a love for being active … all without the need for a traditional gym setting.

What steps have you taken to ensure your services are inclusive and accessible to kids from diverse backgrounds and abilities?

We welcome kids of all abilities and backgrounds by offering adaptive instruction and sensory-friendly options to ensure every child feels comfortable. All of our parks and rec programs provide specialized classes catered to kids with special needs. Our goal is to create a nurturing, inclusive community where every child feels confident, capable and supported in their movement journey.

What features of your business make the experience engaging for kids?

Cartwheelin’ Cuties® classes are full of personalized fun challenges, interactive stations and playful themes that allow kids to progress at their own pace, transforming movement into a joyful journey. Our program meets each child where they are and tailors every session to their unique goals and capabilities. From first-time movers to those already confident in their skills, we create a space where every child feels supported and successful.

Highlight some notable achievements by your adaptive gymnastics clients.

We are so proud of Sophia and Kevin, who have made incredible strides in our adaptive class! As part of our Gymnastics Without Limits program, they have both shown immense growth in their ability to follow directions and fully participate in class activities. A special shout-out to Kevin for his somersault and Sophia for her star jumps on the trampoline—both are major milestones in their gymnastics journey. It’s inspiring to see their hard work pay off as they gain confidence and develop new skills. Keep shining, Sophia and Kevin!

How do you create a connection with parents while keeping THE focus on kids?

Our supportive staff members ensure that you and your little one are set up for success. Whether it’s an extra hair tie, a bottle of water or a warm cup of coffee (for parents!), we go the extra mile to make you feel like family. We’re always available to answer questions or offer guidance to make your experience seamless and enjoyable while keeping the focus on the kids’ growth and fun.

What do you find most interesting about kids’ perspectives?

Our kiddos see endless possibilities in everything. A balance beam isn’t just a beam—it’s a pirate plank, a rainbow road or a branch with a hanging koala. Their imaginations make movement exciting!

How does your business stand out?

We prioritize joy, confidence and movement fundamentals in all our offerings. Our growth mindset encourages each child to embrace their progress, big or small. With small-batch classes, supportive coaching and a creative approach, we ensure that every child feels successful and is excited to keep growing.

Has your business undergone expansions?

Yes! In addition to our current city contracts in Manhattan Beach and El Segundo, we’re excited to reach even more families through local parks and recreation programs. Coming later in 2025, we hope to launch more Cartwheelin’ Cuties® classes in four new city locations.
