Elizabeth Grace Floral is a floral design company serving clients throughout southern California. Owner Hillary Allbritton earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and worked for a software company before relocating to California. She opened Elizabeth Grace Floral in 2019 after a friend encouraged her to turn the floral centerpieces she designed for loved ones’ parties into a business.

Tell us about your business.

Our work focuses on floral designing for special occasions. This encompasses tabletop florals as well as large freestanding or hanging installations for weddings, corporate parties and events. We also maintain a large candle inventory and offer them as part of our floral design service or as a standalone candle installation. We can add activities such as making leis or floral crowns or classes on centerpiece design, to name a few.

In what ways does authenticity play into your business model?

Developing close rapport with my clients is something I feel strongly about. When we are first starting our process, I invest a great deal of time getting to know them, who they are, what really matters to them, and the type of relationship and service they are looking for. This in-depth approach goes a long way to informing the design process and delivering a product that my clients love.

Tell us about your family.

I may be the face of the business, but behind the scenes it is truly a family-run operation. I am the mother of two teenage girls, Hadley, 16, and Avery, 13. They are my reason for starting the business and are the namesakes, as Elizabeth and Grace are their middle names.

Both girls work in the business. Avery primarily provides support in the studio, handling hard goods and processing flowers. Hadley is a key design team member both in the studio and on location for events.

My partner, Matt, leads the operations side of the business and is a jack-of-many-trades including carpenter, load-in/load-out manager, inventory manager, designer, time-keeper and everything else it takes to keep the wheels on and rolling. Rounding out our family are our four rescues: dogs Hank and Ally, and cats Sunnie and Sparky!
