On the Right PathIt should come as no surprise that the South Bay is one of the best places to own a bicycle. The Strand, the sights, the weather, a bevy of bike shops … need we say more? One of our area’s biggest bike supporters is the South Bay Bicycle Coalition (SBBC), a local organization made of two-wheel enthusiasts. Formed in 2009 with the intent of going after a RENEW grant, this volunteer advocacy group would help steer the creation of the South Bay Bicycle Master Plan. We took a ride with South Bay Initiative director Marissa Christiansen to see how that plan was moving along. |
