The Bard and the BayShakespeare By the Sea, the annual summer tour of works by the prolific Elizabethan playwright, will debut its 15th season at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro, with stops at parks throughout the South Bay and even Terranea Resort. On the Right PathIt should come as no surprise that the South Bay is one of the best places to own a bicycle. The Strand, the sights, the weather, a bevy of bike shops … need we say more? One of our area’s biggest bike supporters is the South Bay Bicycle Coalition (SBBC), a local organization made of two-wheel enthusiasts. Formed in 2009 with the intent of going after a RENEW grant, this volunteer advocacy group would help steer the creation of the South Bay Bicycle Master Plan. We took a ride with South Bay Initiative director Marissa Christiansen to see how that plan was moving along. |
