Beach Teeth is a relationship-based dental practice. “We have dedicated our careers to making our patients the driving force behind our practice,” says Dr. Anne. Her husband, Dr. Steve, agrees: “Each decision we make must always satisfy the most important question, `Is it in the best interest of our patients?’” Anne and Steve met in dental school at the University of Southern California and have practiced together for 30 years. Six years ago they built Beach Teeth in their hometown of Manhattan Beach. They have merged their finest skills of dentistry with the most current technology.
What trends are defining dentistry today?
“The latest technologies, materials and advancements allow our profession to establish new and improved techniques to treat a vast variety of dental needs earlier, more efficiently and with life-like function and esthetics. Some examples are: digital X-rays, which use less radiation, yet capture superior details for diagnosing; 3-D Galileo’s Imaging, indispensable for implant planning and placement; Diode Soft Tissue Laser, which can reduce the healing time of canker sores and allows us to re-contour gum tissues without incisions; CEREC CAD/CAM technology, which allows us to restore damaged teeth with porcelain restorations in a single visit; and Invisalign orthodontics, which moves teeth with clear, removable aligners.”
Tell us about the ambiance of your dental office.
“We have monitors in each treatment room so our patients can watch their favorite movie, concert or listen to music while treatment is provided. We also have soft leather chairs and neck pillows or blankets to help our patients stay comfortable.”
What’s most rewarding about your work?
“When a patient’s needs and our dental expertise contribute to a life-changing event! We love being part of a patient’s dental solution. Whether it’s after years of neglect, an accident or the toll of deteriorating dental conditions, contributing to the solution is most rewarding.”
How do you give back to your community?
“We have participated in the Manhattan Beach community since 1983. Some of the many organizations that we have contributed to are American Martyrs church, Pennekamp Elementary School, Manhattan Beach Middle School, Mira Costa High School, MBEF, MBAF, MCHS Basketball and Water Polo, MBYB, HBYB, AYSO, Manhattan Beach Country Club Youth Committee, Neighborhood Watch, Remote Access Dental Volunteer and The Beach List.”
