For Bianca Kajlich, having the ocean at her doorstep is one of the perks of residing in the South Bay.
“I love the fact that I can start my day with a long run on the beach,” she says. The dancer and actress, who stars as Jennifer on the CBS comedy Rules of Engagement, moved to Manhattan Beach about four-and-a-half years ago. “The community is very tight knit. I feel so lucky to live somewhere that people from other areas consider a great vacation destination.”
Bianca and her girlfriends can often be seen enjoying lunch at Petros or Le Pain Quotidien at the Metlox Center, or taking a Pilates class over at Mind Body Manhattan. “The owner, Lauren Borden, is a good friend of mine and offers the best Thai massage in town,” she says. “It’s also where I go for Chocolate Sun, an organic spray tan that is beyond better than the real thing!”
A Seattle native, she plans to spend the holidays with her family and enjoy a little house she recently bought up there. “I love returning to my roots every now and again. But, after a couple days in that Pacific Northwest rain I am ready to head back down to my life of sun-filled days at the beach!”
