Lily Liang has been a top agent in high-end residential real estate since 1981, with more than $650 million in transactions. She has been working in the business for nearly 35 years and has lived on the Palos Verdes Peninsula for more than 30 years. Lily attended UC Berkley and studied her MBA at Pepperdine University. She has lived in many countries in both Asia and Europe and is fluent in Mandarin. Lily’s husband, Michael Patton, is a well-known international corporate tax lawyer, and she has two adult children.
What would you like potential clients to know about you?
“As a result of living in other countries, I have developed contacts and business relationships all over the world and gained an appreciation and respect for different cultures. I always work hard to maintain a high standard of client service. I value my reputation for placing my clients’ interests first.”
Who is your typical client?
“I work mostly as a listing agent. My clients are typically families I have worked with in the past or people whom former clients have recommended to me. I also work with a number of foreign clients who are looking to establish a home in Palos Verdes.”
What does it take to be the best in the real estate business?
“Always thinking about what is in the best interest for your client; having a broad knowledge of factors that affect the local real estate market; professionalism and hard work; being sensitive and responsive to client needs and responding as soon as possible.”
What’s one trend that is changing the real estate industry today?
“Downsizing by baby boomers who now have an empty nest is a trend that will continue for a number of years.”
