Improving health and well-being through physical and emotional healing.

Be the Lifestyle

Be the Lifestyle

Healthy living is a mantra for many of us in the South Bay. Wellness awareness is abundant throughout the Beach Cities. People seem to relax more, go a touch slower, breathe a bit deeper. So what’s so special about the lifestyle here? Is it that we dive into active beach lifestyles with fun sports like volleyball, swimming, surfing, SUP, biking, skating, and running on the strand? Is it the beautiful sunsets and scenery? Or perhaps the plentiful variety of world class wellness-related businesses, including Yoga studios, farmers markets, massage therapists, personal trainers, med spas, and nutritionists? Maybe for you it’s just the ocean breeze…

For me, what sets the South Bay apart from the rest of our sumptuous So Cal metropolis is simply that we’re so close to all the culture and industry that defines LA, while just a smidge out of the way – making our Beach Cities a haven from the hustle and bustle of the 405 and beyond. After travelling the world over, I live and work in the heart of the South Bay because I deeply appreciate the lifestyle here. From the funky Americana of Main Street in El Segundo, all the way down to the phenomenal vistas of Palos Verdes. There’s so much to soak in.

What do you think? Please share what makes the South Bay a healthy and healing place for you. And check back for more posts about local healing-inspired people, places, issues and events in our vibrant community.

For now, here is a simple South Bay-inspired healing meditation. Ask yourself: what do you love about your South Bay lifestyle? For two full minutes inhale the image of what you enjoy most about your South Bay lifestyle, while exhaling any stress or thoughts of uneasiness that might be lingering in your mind. Relish in the healing spirit of being here now, but not just here anywhere – here in the South Bay. We have a special community for health and wellness, and taking a minute to allow what you love wash over you makes all the difference.
