05/28/12show your stripesI don't know when I fell in love with stripes, but they seem to be classic and timeless. Iconic figures are shown wearing them and photographic images seem to be made better by them. Now they are seen everywhere in design and fashion. 05/18/12Pin meNew or vintage brooches can add a little sparkle to your life instead of just sitting in a drawer somewhere. Lately I've been noticing brooches when I go to vintage shops or flea markets; but I never quite knew what to do with them. The owners of Ava + Aliria taught me to pin them on my chains to create a more substantial statement piece. Some other ideas came to mind once I got thinking: layering a flower pin with a sparkly center, add them to a clutch or bag, use them as an extra gift on top of a present. I'd love to know what creative ways you've discovered to style your brooches. |
