03/03/12Spring FloralsSpring is drawing near and fashion trends are leaning toward all things floral. Floral prints are everywhere and you can wear it sparingly, or from head to toe! I'm partial to all the floral printed pants, as well as the mixing of prints with a stripe or another print. Whichever way you choose, florals are here to brighten up your days as we head into spring! |

02/25/12Men, show your colors. It seems color is the ever important ingredient to add style to your wardrobe these days. Even for you men! If you're not into wearing a bright yellow pant, or an orange jacket, then start slow and add a touch of color somewhere. How about your shoelaces, a watch, a belt, a scarf, or maybe a hat? We live at the beach where it's always sunny, so why not add a little sunshine to your wardrobe? images via: Ralph Lauren, Nixon, General Idea, Nautica, Hisham Oumlil, Dapperlou.com |

02/20/12How do you style your coffee table? What's on your coffee table? It's something to think about next time you're cleaning and/or organizing. Sometimes just moving things around and putting different items on display can change the look of your room. Here are a few images I found of some great examples of how to style a coffee table. Places to shop around the beach-cities to find great stuff to style your coffee table: Gum Tree, Fringe, Stars antiques, A Summer Place, Maison Luxe. Top image via me, bottom images via Pinterest |
02/16/12Funky VintageThese two vintage clothing shops are located next door to one another on Hermosa Avenue in Hermosa Beach. I've passed by while driving a hundred times, so my curiosity was piqued and I finally paid them a visit. They are eclectic and funky, but if you have an eye for vintage finds you might just come across something you've been searching for. I only quickly stopped in (without much notice from whoever was working) and took these pics with my iPhone. They are located at 1409 & 1411 Hermosa Avenue in Hermosa Beach. These kind of places are what give the beach cities charm and diversity, which I think is what makes them so great! |

02/10/12Paper & InkBrenna Berger is a beach city resident and a very talented DIYer, artist, and creative. She's also a mother of two (I'm not sure how she does it all!), who has her own blog as well as a regular post on the very popular Design Sponge blog. Here is just a sampling of some of my favorites that she's made. You can see more on her Paper & Ink website. |
