01/24/12WHAT {i} WORE no.3last week i met a fabulous girlfriend of mine for a good old cup of joe! we rendezvoused on {one of my favorite streets in Southern California} Abbot Kinney! where the shopping is good... and the coffee is even better!!! since we were having such great weather last week (yesterday it finally rained, yippy!) i opted to wear this high-waisted maxi skirt and paired it with a cozy tank & my favorite structured blazer! oh... and where can you find such a colorful maxi like this??? well, i made it! and YOU can too!!! 01/12/12WHAT {i} WORE no. 1yesterday was a busy {busy} day! getting back into the swing of things after a wonderful trip is always a bit of a challenge. my day was full of meetings, following up with clients, and running around town... which was all good... except that i never made enough time to unpack from my trip! so it's officially on the to-do-list for tomorrow: "MUST UNPACK". in the mean time, check out what i wore! this is my go-to RUN AROUND TOWN UNIFORM, that with a little lipstick can get you through the busiest of days! *little styling tip: in my opinion... 01/11/12Holy Frittata!ok, i know you must be thinking... is this girl crazy(?), is she really showing us how to cook eggs!!? no! well YES, but these puppies are SO good and worth hearing me out for!!! when i was in Miami {over the weekend} i had the honor of cooking with my oldest brother, who is in fact a FABULOUS cook! he can whip up anything from a gourmet roast to a chocolate souffle that will blow your mind & look professional. oh, and of course a killer Frittata that i was (obviously} very impressed by. to put it in other words... i didn't know what it was to "reduce" balsamic vinegar until he clued me in. i thought it meant to literally reduce... like USE LESS! so here it... 01/04/12Ahi Tuna STACK! {ummm, YUM!}to celebrate New Years Eve, the fireman & i had champagne, appetizers, & dinner at our house with my brother and his girlfriend! it was such a nice & super mellow night. the four of us cooked together, drank a little too much bubbly, and even got a few little projects done around the new house! see, my brother's an electrical contractor, so he's always really helpful with new projects.. and will always for work for food! this delish Ahi Tuna Stack recipe was created by my mom and has become a favorite in our family. trust me, once you make it once... you'll love it too! *and PS: this recipe couldn't be any easier to make... bonus!... |
