Lauren Forbes, Realtor

NW Real Estate Brokers

1213 Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach | 310-901-8512 | laurenforbes.com

Lauren Forbes knows South Bay real estate and is consistently ranked as one of the top five realtors in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach. She has been assisting clients in buying and selling homes in the South Bay and advising people regarding their real estate investments since 1999. Lauren grew up in Dana Point and has lived in Manhattan Beach for more than 20 years. Lauren practiced law for eight years before her husband Randy (also a residential broker) convinced her to find a job more conducive to family life and get into real estate. Spend a few moments with Lauren and you will find that she takes her clients’ needs very seriously and really cares. “I am dedicated to making their dreams a reality,” says Lauren.

What’s most rewarding about your work?

“Helping people realize their dream of buying a home in the South Bay. It may seem like it is just a house, but what we provide is a lifestyle, family spaces and, ultimately, happiness. In most cases, a home is the single largest investment that a person or family will ever make—I take that very seriously. I use my legal background, my many contacts and my years of real estate experience to help people make the best decisions for their well-being.”

Tell us about your family.

“My family is my life. Simply put, I married the absolute right guy. He teaches me to slow down and enjoy life, and he helps me laugh at myself. As a self-professed control freak, that does not come easy! We have two amazing children—a daughter Megan and a son Logan—and two dogs. We live in our dream house that we built in Manhattan Beach with a tiny pool in our back yard. My parents and sister live close by, allowing us to have real family dinners on a very regular basis. We are very blessed.”

What’s your favorite office/efficiency tool?

“My best ‘tool’ is my full-time, licensed assistant Nicole (more like a partner than an employee)—she is a machine—hard-working, focused, professional and definitely my secret weapon. I am also fortunate to be a member of two of the best networking groups in the South Bay—one is a group of top local realtors; the other consists of exceptional women professionals in their respective fields committed to supporting each others’ businesses. These groups are invaluable to giving my clients the best current information and advice possible.”

What is your motto?

“I have the plaque right behind my desk … it reads ‘Never be so busy that you can’t help those around you.’ I pride myself on trying to make a positive difference in as many peoples’ lives as possible and being involved in local charities including Next Step Fitness, American Martyrs, Manhattan Beach Education Foundation, the Richstone foundation and others.”
