Debbie Talosi & Laura Hofmann, Co-Owners

Fringe

1806 S. Catalina Ave. in Redondo Beach | 3516 Highland Ave. in Manhattan Beach | 310-316-9100

Combining their years of experience designing jewelry, furniture and landscaping, Debbie Talosi and Laura Hofmann opened a home furnishings boutique in 2004. Fringe not only creates custom furniture, they carry a wide variety of gifts and accessories, as well as the hottest jewelry at great prices. Several customers who became friends now help Debbie and Laura run their two stores. “What’s most rewarding about our work are the customers who have become great friends,” says Laura. Debbie agrees: “I look forward every day to going to the shop and talking with my customers. I feel fortunate and blessed to have so many wonderful clients.”

How do you give back to your community?

Debbie: “We support local charities and schools with donations, and we hold fundraisers at our store and give a portion of our proceeds to local charitable organizations.”

Do you think that trusting your instincts is important in order to grow your business?

Laura: “Most definitely. We don’t necessarily go with the trend. We buy and design what feels right for us and our clients.”

Tell us a bit about your working style.

“Casual.”

What would you like potential clients to know about you?

“We are so much more than a home furnishing boutique, and for us it’s not just about making a sale. We have built great relationships with our customers.”
