The Palos Verdes Art Center held its opening reception for the Surf’s Up and Enceladus Exhibitions. More than 400 attended the opening, held at the Art Center’s new, temporary location at The Promenade on the Peninsula. In all, 19 artists participated in the show curated by Jacqueline Dreager.

A new listing open house hosted by Alison Clay-Duboff of South Bay Brokers was catered by MB Post and chef David LeFevre. The home is currently listed at $1,239,000.

Healthy Start

Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach’s 15th annual Celebrate Wellness raised $125,000 in net income to benefit support group programs for cancer patients and their families. More than 550 guests sampled tasty fare from a variety of restaurants, wineries and breweries that participated in the late afternoon garden party at South Coast Botanical Gardens.

Divine Dining

More than 900 community members gathered to sample some of the South Bay’s best fare at the 25th annual Gourmet Food and Wine Festival at Honda Motors. Proceeds went toward construction of Torrance Memorial’s new Main Tower and Pediatric Services.

Pay It Forward

Vistas for Children, a philanthropic organization comprised of a 100% volunteer group of women from the greater South Bay area, proudly awarded grants to 18 deserving charitable organizations that serve the children of the community.

You’re the Best

Southbay magazine welcomed winners and nominees of the first annual “Best of A to Z” party on the pool deck at Shade Hotel. Guests sipped on Belvedere cocktails and held raffle tickets for great prizes courtesy of Skechers.
