What would you like potential clients to know about you?
“We work hard to create an environment that’s comfortable and friendly yet very upscale. Your stylist knows you on a personal level—what to order you for lunch, what drink to pour and your favorite magazine.”
Why did you choose this career?
“Hair runs in the family. My sister, Kathleen, worked in the industry for many years and encouraged me to follow in her footsteps. She introduced me to some of the industry’s great leaders, including Chris and Trevor Sorbie and Jose Eber.”
What is unique about your style and technique?
“Our salon is unique in that we educate within. We send experienced stylists to study with the best in the world, and new employees go through a rigorous training program.”
What is the biggest challenge facing your clients today?
“Our clients are living in a fast-paced world; therefore, we have become a fully computerized salon. Our front desk will work with you to find the best possible appointment to fit your needs.”
How do you give back to your community?
“Our biggest event of the year is Hush Up with the Kings, where we pair with the Los Angeles Kings to support the Children’s Hospital of LA. We also host an event for Walk With Sally, support the MBEF and participate in the American Martyrs scrip program, giving back 20% of profits to my daughter’s school.”
What do you like to do for fun, when you’re not at work?
“I spend time with my wife, Kate, a lifelong resident of Manhattan Beach, and our beautiful daughter, Sophia. The beach is our back yard, and we like to take full advantage of it.”
